With Kodi, you can watch your favorite TV shows and movies from online streaming sites such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, YouTube Red, and more! You can also download podcasts for offline listening.

One downside to Kodi is that it doesn’t have an official Chromecast app which means you need to cast through your phone instead. It takes a couple of steps to cast Kodi using your Android device, but it’s not too complicated.

Prerequisites: Your Android device and TV with Chromecast support.

1. Download the Kodi app to your Android phone or tablet from Google Play.

2. Open up Kodi on your device, sign in, then click the gear icon at the top right of the screen to open Settings.

3. Go to System Settings at the left side of the screen, then click Services at the bottom on the right of your screen. Enable both “AirPlay” and “External Control”.

4. Exit from Kodi by clicking back until you’re on your Android home screen then select a video or movie that you’d like to watch through Kodi using Chromecast!

5. If an AirPlay pop-up doesn’t automatically display on your TV, click the Chromecast button at the top right of Kodi (looks like a TV with an antenna). You’ll see all available Chromecast devices.

6. Click “Cast” to choose your Chromecast device and start watching!

7. Cast Android Screen to Roku Player

If you want to experience media files stored in your computer or laptop with a Roku player then you need to stream these files over your television screen.
